1. A quick thread on the difference between Trump's high energy political moves and Obama's low energy political move today.
2. Over the last months or so President Trump has been selectively endorsing canidates before their primaries and after their primaries for the general.
3. Many times these endorsements come with several tweets, a mention during a press conference or a rally.
4. Yesterday Trump went to FL and endorsed Ron Desantis for Govenor and Rick Scott for Senate.
5. He spoke for more than a hour to more than 9,000 people inside and several thousand more outside the arena. He mentioned both candidates several times as well as other politicians in attendence.
6. Before the rally he had Gov Rick Scott and others at a bill signing for vo tech education funding. Linking his policies and achievements with Gov Scott.
7. He has done this with many other candidates over the last several months. These events take a lot of work, planning and energy to pull off. They draw 10,000s of people who give their name and contact information for future help to the canidates campaigns.
8. Today Obama released a list of 81 people he endorsed for midterms. That's it a list.
9. He may or may not campaign for them in the future. He relied on the media to broadcast his list and they did. This was a very low energy move.
10. A list of all 81 at once doesn't give time for people to learn each canidate. It doesn't expand the canidates reach much beyond those that already care. It doesn't engage people and it is quickly forgotten.
11. Finally it makes the work fall squarely on the shoulders of the candidates themselves to spread the word about the endorsement and to try to parley that endorsement into money and votes.
12. One strategy requires high energy and one low energy. One should bring much better results than the other. Just one quick example of the difference between the two men.
