I think the most enduring forms of social control have been cultural, religion, or business based and I think people are just starting to understand that now in this new world of instant worldwide reaching media and the powerful random ways it can effect change or impact people.
I think the most effective manipulators of people have used all 3 approaches at once to really attempt to change the minds of people to twist them into republicans, into scolds, into Islamic terrorists
And I think we’re starting to see new heights in the technology of twisting people to our will, the most extreme form being online radicalization transforming a normal person into a literal bomb. It’s serious and won’t go away. It’s hard wired into our brains and evolution.
But I think the manipulators are far more aware and in control of these factors and this science than the media and tech and gatekeepers are, or can even fathom
The media plays catch up trying to inform the public while manipulators are already working that paradigm into their future manipulations. And I think it’s interesting that these 3 modes of social control are coalescing now into modern conservatism.
Its a political ideology that harmoniously weaves popular cultural, religious, and business interests into a snowball of fascism. It’s all equally empty and cynical and it all props itself up and protects itself from attempts to change and steps up increasing resistance to change
It allows all these escape routes into logical fallacies that let them stop thinking and questioning their beliefs. If you catch them on business, they retreat to culture. If you call out their culture they retreat to religion. If you attack their religion they cry about business
having a cohesive fascist ideology that can cover for your short comings and coddle your fears with comfortable lies that all fit together into a worldview far deeper and more complete than appeals to political ideas that only use one or two, or even all 3 separately not together
The fact that it’s a cohesive worldview that hasn’t been sufficiently debunked lets every event exist in a dishonest partisan framework of fantasy and propaganda. Democrats aren’t on that level but republicans are.
And i think it all hinges on Christianity, the religion that promotes complete leaps of blind faith and utter faith and no questioning non-present leaders and gods and their perfect and saintly messengers. “Kill people because I said so” is a dangerous religion without checks
And it was once used as a check on people but now it’s used as a shield against reason or rationality. It protects them from truth and hides facts behind superstition. I mean we kinda know this but it’s not well known the extent to which this affects people’s worldviews.
But we do know that terrorists and alt right crazies and nazis have statistical correlations to super extreme apocalyptic interpretations of Christianity, ones that paint real figures as antichrist Satanist forces and preach the need for fear and weapons for the second coming
So it’s kinda a complete circle here. You have online radicalization of muslims and white supremacists who find religion to be an awesome vulnerability to exploit with messages of cultural and business incentives to become lethal for republican goals to be successfully enacted
And that’s what modern republicanism does. Any evidence of pedophilia is merely a business interest or a cultural corrosive or a test from god. Nothing exists unless republicans say it does. That is literal evil for no reason that consolidation of power. power to control minds.
