THREAD: WALK OUT, DEMOCRATS

I said this yesterday and I'll say it again today: Democrats are legitimizing #Kavanaugh by not walking out.

They should release a joint statement that until the #Mueller and #Cohen matters are resolved, Trump cannot appoint a #SCOTUS justice.
The GOP is hellbent on pushing the #KavanaughConfirmation through. If Democrats walked out and he were seated, he'd have far LESS legitimacy on the bench than if they went through the motions of what they called a "sham" proceeding.
No matter how sharp their questions, no matter how much they protest the rules and procedures and document dumps, Dems are ENABLING THE GOP in brazen court-stacking. Republicans STOLE #MerrickGarland's seat and are shoving rightwing justices through. WHY ARE DEMS PLAYING ALONG?

I'm watching Trump, Pelosi, and Schumer bicker about the budget and the wall. This spectacle is beneath the dignity of this country.
Of course I agree with the Dem position, but the fact that we're here is just sad.
For anyone misconstruing my tweet, I'm agreeing with what Nancy Pelosi said: "I don’t think we should have a debate in front of the press on this." The fact that Trump got schooled is a good thing. But the reality is that none of us should want that kind of spectacle.

1/ now The only thing that @JeffFlake has to do is exactly what he did last week. Last Thurs. night he looked like he was going to be yes vote to move the #Kavanaugh nom forward, but he didn't do that. His comments today (attached) make it appear as though he will vote yes.
2/ Instead, @JeffFlake should give some thought to saying that the FBI investigation that he called for & got isn't complete enuf w/o the rest of the witnesses & the 2 subjects being interviewed. He can stop this tomorrow, and he should. #CancelKanavaugh #FridayFeeIing

I know others have tweeted about this as length but here it goes.....on the #Kavanaugh confirmation

In order for #USA Senate to confirm anything, there needs to be a #Quorum.
A #Quorum means at least 51 Senators need to be present for the vote, for it to be conducted.
That means that If #Democrats walk out, #Republicans currently only have 50 votes, 50 Senators.
It has been done in the past.
Arrest warrants was then issued on the Senators who walked out
