Spotify would have a very hard time doing what Netflix does since consumers expect a full music catalog. On movies, Netflix feels comfortable not having Caddyshack and The Jerk in the movie catalog, even though it makes me very very unhappy.

But some businesses just do the losing money part. A critical skill is knowing the difference between the two types.
Customer-based corporate valuation (CBCV) = valuing a business on a "bottoms up" basis by valuing the customers. In a subscription business especially, this is an essential process if you want to understand if real value is being created despite a lack of current GAAP earnings.
"CBCV isn’t about being profitable from day one. It’s about variable profitability in net present value terms (while still being mindful of fixed cost overhead of course!)" Determining whether a specific business is a delicious cheesecake or a turd requires detective work.

Who would want to work for Access Omnicare, $TSLA's medical provider examined by @Reveal? Well, probably a doctor like Muhannad S. Hafi, MD. In January 2018 He examined this patient described in Reveal's story, and recommended "FULL DUTY, no modifications" after an accident.

(1) I figured since today is the beginning of #WalkAway I’d share my own little story. Feel free to share, it gets funny.

When I was 15, I was enrolled in an acting school in Southern California. We were friends w/ the owner, & the teachers were character actors from 90’s tv.
(2) I was involved in a lot of creative arts, because I had a manager. Mainly for my music career. I was offered a contract by two major record labels, and I turned them down because they wanted me to be something I wasn’t.

I don’t regret that decision.
(3) The owner of the school was a relatively nice French lady, who came to me one day - asking if I’d like to sing for a project she was putting together and in exchange I’d get some free schooling and pocket change. Being a 15 year old girl who liked shopping? It was a yes.

IF declarations allege that Kavanaigh lied under oath, Senators have an obligation to determine whether he perjured himself before they vote on his confirmation. Would Republicans investigate a Democrat? In a heartbeat! And Democrats would agree.
So @SenateDems should put the charges in the Judiciary Committee Record, even if the result is “voted out of committee with a request for perjury in the minority report” and ask every Senator “did Kavanaugh lie and should you investigate that before voting on confirmation?”
