Damn right @BritishInEurope - It's just not right to put the lives of 5+ million people on the negotiation table, to be haggled over like chattel, together with aviation, borders and trade. We, @The3Million too, deserve respect. 1/
They should've done this from the beginning, ringfenced our rights from the beginning. Just take people off the negotiating table from the start.
Negotiating over people's lives is something you do in wartime, not in a peacetime (albeit tricky) negotiation. 2/

I worry a lot about the cliff edge on 29 March 2019 you're now blithely driving us towards. I worry about riots, food shortages, civil unrest. But it would certainly help if you eased the worries about our very right to be here. /ends

Quite frankly I was disappointed at #PVOxford that enfranchising EU citizens was not even seen as a serious option.
From lazy scroungers and criminals, we've now become people who are tolerated bc they make contributions. We're paying guests. 1/
As long as #PeoplesVote does not enfranchise EU citizens in the UK, we risk becoming very much the topic of the vote (ending free movement still touted as a big win in the deal), not actually being able to influence the vote. 2/
Note that the franchise for the 2016 Referendum was decided under pressure of Brexiters - who rightly discerned EU citizens would vote Remain overwhelmingly. Cameron granted it because he would win anyway. 3/

A lot has been said on May's queue jumper comments and her non-apology, but one thing has not been looked at in detail, to my knowledge, namely how the UK government's stubborn refusal to understand or correctly represent freedom of movement infantilizes British citizens 1/
Freedom of movement is a reciprocal right that British citizens also enjoy, and that many have used to work, study, retire in the EU. It is not a special privilege EU citizens enjoy to jump any sort of queue (a queue I might add that May and her ilk have installed & tightened) 2/
For example, I have a very clever student, a British citizen without additional citizenship, who wants to do a master's, eventually a PhD and he's looking into programmes in the EU (e.g., Paris) for this. But I had to tell him, I have no idea how it will be with Brexit 3/

1. This is going to sound a bit preachy but I'm going to roll with it anyway. The Tory Brexiters have pulled a fast one. They have shifted to goalposts and now propagandists are spinning the narrative that any deal is a betrayal of #Brexit. These people are professional liars.
2. If we had a functioning media the people who say we can rely on WTO rules as a basis for our post-Brexit trade relations would be hauled over the coals by all of the major newspapers because it is not a matter of mere opinion. It is an outright demonstrable lie.
3. But rather than outing liars as indeed our media should, many vessels are actually complicit in the lie. Particularly BrexitCentral, City AM, The Telegraph, the Express and The Spectator. They will give houseroom to liars without flinching. This is what they do now.

Only one child played on the unused track, the rest on the operational track.

A train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the unused track and save most of the kids.

What will you decide??
