First world problem time... I know there’s all sorts of data on @NomadList but “where shall I go next?” is still a hugely unsolved problem for me. I would actually pay for some sort of AI or human-concierge service that recommends places based on my likes / dislikes.
For example I like sunny weather and dislike rain so I’m constantly googling things like:
“Weather in (place) in (month)”
“Rainy season in (place)”
“Weather in (place) in (month)”
“Rainy season in (place)”
Then on top of the lifestyle info that sites like nomadlist provide (safety, cost) I want recommendations that are personalized for me. Can I scuba dive there? Are there any famous places to eat? With my passport how long can I stay? All of these are additional google searches.
It’s all a huge distraction. And the later I leave it the more I get stressed out as all the good airbnbs/hotels that I’ve bookmarked get booked up.
And no, “concierge AI travel agent service for lazy digital nomads” isn’t my next startup idea 😅 funnily enough this wasn’t an issue for me the first time I was a nomad. Not sure why it’s so much more difficult now.
