Footsoldiers of white supremacy+ patriarchy:
- 53% of white women voters voted for Trump
- 62% of white women voters voted for Roy Moore.
- 43% of white women believe Kavanaugh vs 46% believe Blasey Ford: statistically indistinguishable.

And specifically Kavanaugh represents the rot of white patriarchy -its privileges, its networks of power, its entitlement, its wealth.He and his defenders represent the rich white men that are the pinnacle of patriarchy’s hierarchy in the US. White supremacy’s old boys club. 👇🏽

Trump, Kavanaugh, Graham, et al: white patriarchy + wealth + entitlement. These are men who were raised to believe everything revolved around and for them - including women - and that they would never be held accountable. Ever. And when they are, they act like 👇🏽

Who indoctrinated white women into supporting these white patriarchs - men who have hurt women, men accused of sexually assaulting women, men who are not friends to women. Why are white women complicit in their own oppression?

Important to remember: Trump did not invent white supremacy or patriarchy; neither will end if Kavanaugh is not confirmed. White supremacy & patriarchy have deep roots in US history - they are foundational to creation of US. Also: neither would have ended had Hillary Clinton won

If you just now started seeing white supremacy and patriarchy: ask yourself why. Privilege protects you from feeling the way various oppressions affect those without your privilege.
If you’re still not seeing white supremacy & patriarchy: know that you are an accomplice.

Because if you are just now horrified at the way patriarchy enables and protects sexual predators, what America have you been living in? Because white, rich patriarchy has enabled and protected sexual violence against Black women for centuries.

The history of the USA is underwritten in the rape of Black women to terrorize them and to emasculate Black men while at same time Black men were lynched to “protect” white women. Sexual violence from state/powerful men not new. White supremacy & patriarchy deeply rooted in USA

This summer marked 18 years since I moved to the US. The longer I live here, the more obvious it is that it is determined to continue ignoring white supremacist patriarchy that drives so much in the US.

Unless you’re targeting BOTH white supremacy and patriarchy, you’re seeing the US with just one eye open. Open both your eyes.
