Another 120,000+ votes were cast during the 2nd day of in-person early voting yesterday in NC. Cumulatively, 256,989 ballots have been cast during in-person early voting so far & 275,254 via all methods. This continues very robust turnout. Partisan breakdown attached #NCGA #NCPOL

In 2010 there was a 17 day early voting period, on the 2nd day there were 34,994 votes cast. In 2014 it was a 10 day early voting period, the 2nd day there were 114,201 votes cast. This year is an 18 day early voting period, 2nd day there were 120,817 votes cast. #NCGA #NCPOL

Early vote totals so far can be viewed as an indiction of robust turnout that may push NC higher than what you expect in a Blue Moon midterm election, but a note of caution as some of these early votes may be cannibalizing votes that would normally be cast on Election Day #NCPOL

Reminder: the proportion of early voters in NC by race is a key stat as in-person early voting continues. Dems & aligned outside groups focus much of their turnout efforts on infrequent voters who are black. Black voter reg is 22% in NC, early voting breakdown by race #NCPOL
