Did 17 Million people really vote for #NoDealBrexit?

Did 17 million people vote to end the Good Friday Agreement?
Did 17 million people vote to strip 1.4 million Brits abroad of their right to live in their own homes? (EU citizenship)
Did 17 million people vote for chaos?
Every time someone suggests that 17 million Brits voted for no-deal. They're saying 17 million Brits voted to intentionally harm the country. They're calling all Brexit voters traitors to the UK. They're insulting the UK itself.
There has to come a day when people in this country come back together as fellow countrymen&women... If that kind of damage gets inflicted on the country, I don't see forgiveness coming any time soon...

I don't have a party to run / election to win, so maybe it's rich of me to stand on principle; maybe I'm naive, but...
I'm not willing to pretend that a good Brexit deal is possible just because I'm scared people (who I should have won over on Brexit) might think I'm ruining it.
I get why some might choose that due to their own strategic priorities. But if we go down the path of "keep trying Brexit until every last person is convinced it can't work":
a) We risk crashing out.
b) People would blame the EU not Brexit #HowWeGotInThisMess
c) It's dishonest
🔻The Tories want to endanger the Belfast Agreement which the EU won't allow. And even this Brexit will be rejected.
🔻Labour's Brexit must meet the 6 tests. That means Single Market & Customs Union. Parliament would never approve that for the same reasons we're stuck now.

The referendum was advisory. People act like it wasn’t, but it is non binding. Nothing you can say changes that, because we can’t change it retrospectively.
The Leave side won by a narrow margin. Brexit is a gigantic constitutional change to the country. There’s no shame in saying that such a radical constitutional change shouldn’t be decided by such a narrow margin.

Right. I'm ready to call it! The UK government is aiming for the #Brexit negotiations to lead to:

- A Norway deal
- A 'Norway' v '#Remain' referendum.

Why Norway?

Well, the answer to that lies on the island of #Ireland. Due to the GFA, there are not many ways of squaring the circle of having the hard border that is required by the WTO, Northern Ireland remaining in the UK and the UK being outside the customs union.
So the options faced by HMG are:

1 - call a border poll and let Northern Ireland and the Republic reunite as a single entity. While the Conservatives are nominally the Conservative & Unionist Party, there are many who would not share a tear at the loss of NI....

Brexit seems to have run completely into a wall. This will be a thread on how to leave the European Union.

It's written by someone who thinks the idea is ludicrous so before you attack me leavers, instead think how objective that makes me, and how honest I'll be on the issues.
There are a number of significant hurdles associated with leaving the EU so we'll move away from the politics and divide them into bite sized chunks that everyone can understand.

When we've done that we'll look at what we have at the end and decide how we approach it now.
There are some principles to establish. The thread won't indulge in revising history. When you're in a 40 year relationship, signing article 50 without a plan was clearly an act of extreme stupidity. But sign it we did. So we build from where we are now, not where we should be.
