2/19 Andrew Lee Thompson is obsessed with questioning the figures of the Holocaust

3/19 Most Jews on social media can attest to uncanny similarities between the far right and hard left. We see it in action here, with Thompson using the far right terminology Holocaust denial terminology to mock Jews: “holowhoax”

4/19 But the giveaway that this antisemitism comes from the left is that he accuses the person confronting his Holocaust denial of probably being “anti Palestinian.” We hear the same excuse from JVL for opposing the IHRA definition of antisemitism

5/19 Thompson claims he has “beloved” Jewish friends (a common tactic by racists) who are also Holocaust deniers. He uses a perjorative term for Jews “zioC*nts” to appear anti-Zionist

You can understand the attraction of JVL to Thompson - they legitimise his claims

6/19 Again, he uses Holocaust denier terminology to mock Jewish genocide, this time “hollowcause”

He says “maybe” Treblinka was “pretty fatal.” He goes on to add there was no gas at Belsen, and that Auschwitz ‘chimneys’ and ‘incinerators’ (his inverted commas) were fake

7/19 On and on, post after post denying the scope of the Holocaust. Our hardened researchers were reduced to tears reading this. Remembering how our relatives were slaughtered is all we can do for them. @jeremycorbyn calls JVL “good people” and a “Jewish voice”

8/19 Thompson talks about “lies about Jews being gassed” and that “Zyclon-B was used to fumigate clothing” and finally “there was no gas chambers in Auschwitz”.

Thomson blames the Jews for his conspiracy, but uses the hard left code “zionists” so he appears righteous

9/19 In between Holocaust denial posts he’s furious about a Holocaust memorial being built in London. He blames the “zionists” for the “six million lie.”

10/19 Sometimes Andrew Lee Thompson’s anti-Zionist facade accidentally drops... “The Jews are like the Ferengi - but horribly real!”

The Ferengi were Star Trek characters, obsessed with profit and trade, and constantly trying to swindle unwary customers into unfair deals.

11/19 His pro-Palestinian stance is just Jew-hate. He posts a piece by Neo-Nazi, white supremicist website Smoloko. The hard left often post far right pieces as their antisemitic conspiracies align. Here Isis are a Jewish conspiracy, with a Nazi-era caricature and hook noses

12/19 Thompson is admin to one of many antisemitic Labour Facebook groups. This one is renamed “support Labour not Zionism” to convey his conspiracy that “Israel, the USA and the UK are all controlled by zionists.”

He thinks Jeremy Corbyn is a “wonderful politician”

13/19 He says antisemitic sentiment will see members dismissed, but coming from an admin who posts Holocaust denial that’s unlikely. Labour Facebook groups having an admin who holds antisemitic views isn’t exactly unheard of. Cc @GillianLazarus

14/19 He supports Assad, which is also a common feature of the left. Thompson also wraps in up in an antisemitic conspiracy theory, blaming US “Jewish interests” for the Syrian war which he describes as attempted “regime change.”

15/19 He doesn’t want to risk losing his “Jewish friends” but goes on to accuse half the US govt of being Jewish and holding “dual nationality.” The idea of a Jewish political conspiracy is a common one in JVL. Thompson also believes they seek one world government ruled by Israel

16/19 Continuing the JVL theme, he blames “Zionists” for the spread of UK antisemitism. JVL and their members know full well that once you start covering for antisemitic conspiracy theories, more will flood in

17/19 Thompson says Jews “rape the world” and are a “monstrous religion. He then innocently asks people not to add racist comments because “not every Jew is a devil.” This is a JVL theme - Zionist Jews (most Jews) being inherently bad and responsible for bad things happening

18/19 JVL support Livingstone’s distortions of Jewish/Nazi collaboration. JVL leader Glyn Secker reiterated the theme. JVL leader Jonathan Rosenhead says Jews were complicit in the their own genocide. JVL leader Mike Cushman says the Jews prevented Hitler being stopped earlier

19/19 JVL use their supposed Jewishness and the language of anti-Zionism as cover for their antisemitism. This is why Andrew Lee Thompson is a member of JVL. JVL are directly responsible for antisemites being empowered to spread their poison
