On the shooter and social media (thread):

Law enforcement are studying the social media postings of the shooter.
Shortly allegedly committing mass murder, he posted on Gab that he "can't sit by and watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics, I'm going in."

2/ This was an apparent reference to immigrants coming into the US. He wrote "HIAS likes to bring in invaders that kill our people." HIAS is a Jewish refugee advocacy group that held a "National Refugee Shabbat" last weekend.

3/ On his Gab account the shooter wrote frequent anti-Semitic postings, telling Jews to get out, or leave. (Gab is a social media platform that advocates for free speech and puts nearly no restrictions on content.)

4/ The NYDN reports that under his Gab profile picture he had written: “Jews are the children of Satan."

5/ The shooter believed Trump was controlled by Jews. "Trump is surrounded by kikes, things will stay the course," he wrote on Gab. "There is no #MAGA as long as there is a kike infestation."
