The Russian government recently responded to the DNC's hacking lawsuit, saying that even if it did hack the DNC, that was a military activity exempt from prosecution due to Moscow's sovereign immunity. courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco…
Citing the U.S.'s own use of cyberattacks for political and military purposes, the Russian government argues that the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act must cover those activities.
Russia also says that the DNC hacking case involves a "fundamentally political and diplomatic issue" and that the courts should stay out of it.
