I called representatives for each of the 14 firms that list Whitaker as a registered agent. Two claimed that Whitaker had just forgotten to update the forms — but the Iowa SoS office told me every Iowa firm is required to list a current registered agent

Per Iowa SoS website: "A registered agent is an individual...designated by the entity to accept service of process if a lawsuit is filed against the entity.”
