People on the Left. Hi. I know that *some* of you (also some on the far right) believe the brutality of Assad, Gaddafi, Saddam etc to be "fake news". I'm writing this to tell you that if you do, don't even try engaging me. There won't even be a discussion. There'll be a block.
Same goes to those among you (or among the libertarian right or the far right) who think that in 2011 Arabs took to the streets and faced batons, tear gas, bullets, arrests and torture for the sake of "foreign agendas". This isn't a discussion you can even *start* with me.
For an actual debate to take place, there needs to be a shared facts universe and some overlap in values. Otherwise no debate is even possible.
