1. Reason number 2,368 that @amazon is winning: I purposely tried to not use them to buy a new dishwasher, even though the process was much easier overall and used @homedepot instead. I paid extra for Home Depot to take away my unit and install it. But that would be too logical!
2. It took two weeks to get the dishwasher, over just days from Amazon. And the delivery service that Home Depot uses never called or texted on when my time was today, as even minor Amazon delivery items do. So I went to Web site to find out, which was onerous and unspecific.
3. When the delivery person finally called saying they were 30 minutes out, I asked how long the installation would take, since I paid for hauling out the old one and putting in the new one and the Home Depot web site implied that. Install, he said, we don’t do that!
4. They were just going to plop my new dishwasher there and not take the old one. I need to arrange for the install myself, although I have zero info on that or when it can happen. What? I declined the delivery because I do not have space for a giant dishwasher box in my kitchen.
5. Now I am on a 30 min and counting hold with Home Depot, who thought the delivery service would do the install. They are on hold with the service too. So am endlessly hearing it’s ad motto: “More saving, more doing.” Hey @HomeDepot it is more expensive, more time consuming!
6. Am using the time to order the new dishwasher from Amazon, which is easy.
7. Hey @HomeDepot news flash: I have other work to do. You have ground up tons of time. Thanks so much!
