But Trudeau assured us back in January 2018 that he has always taken these issues seriously, and even actively worked to educate and be an example on issues of consent, power dynamics and date rape, since his youth and university days...
So he was educating on issues of consent and power dynamics, since his youth. He's fired other MPs for allegations of sexually misconduct & said, "There is no context for which someone is not accountable for things they've done in the past".
So no surprise here, right?

What reasonable women where thinking when Trudeau used this excuse... along with the comment about the female reporter, "I don't know where her head was at."
Translation: She's crazy.
To which the victim decided not to remain silent and anonymous anymore, but to come out publicly and confirm, yes, this HAPPENED, and yes, he did apologize.
Now why would someone apologize for something that didn't happen?
If it didn't happen, why wouldn't he sue for libel?
Can you sue someone for libel if what they're alleging is provably true?
Cdn media had this story for MONTHS before the public howling, and exposure in international media FORCED them to finally cover it. They have admitted this. They covered it for a while, and then let it slip quietly out of the public view, but the questions still linger...
Cdns have a right to demand better of their media and their gov't, to demand answers, and action. And they're especially rightly furious when this "feminist" Prime Minister continues to dodge and duck, while making comments like this (Thread+ my response):
Meanwhile, with all that's been addressed here in this thread, Trudeau and his gov't actively stall bills in the house like these, that have already passed in the senate, and have royal assent.
Why would ANYONE stall bills like these??

This is a totally normal statement, nothing odd about it at all, and totally appropriate in the context of "engaging the youth vote".
