President Nutbag McGee is tweeting like an Adderall-snorting loon this morning.

Half is a manic attempt to control the narrative on looming shutdown.

Trump is in a narcissist’s worst bind there. Primed to be shamed by his base if he caves and by everyone else if he doesn’t.

This morning’s spree isn’t his usual loco lawn sprinkler of craziness when he knows a public shaming is coming.

This is what a narcissist with their hands on the wheel looks like.

He thinks he can control the country by manipulating the narrative alone.

That’s how narcissists think. They are empty vessels.

They don’t care what happens. They don’t care about consequences. They don’t care about truth or honesty or facts or even reality.

They solely care about what people believe.

Trump thinks he can control that.

If you want to undercut a narc in this situation, repeat the actual truth over and over and over to the people he’s trying to manipulate.

“Trump had a deal to avoid the shutdown. He wouldn’t sign it.”

That’s it. People blame the person who didn’t avert the crisis.

If you want to actually disarm the narc once they’re in this position, the only effective way is to give them a face-saving out.

They cannot stand down without something they feel will help them escape looking weak or guilty or the losing party.

It doesn’t have to be real.

It just has to give them some plausible deniability in their own minds.

So, don’t be surprised when the ultimate resolution of the shutdown includes something that Trump will spin as a concession.

If you want to win the entire pot and take all the chips in a battle with a narc, you’ll die of old age before they concede.

If you take a win; give them a means of claiming it wasn’t a loss; and move on... you’ll make gains while staying sane and living to fight another day.

My guess is Chuck and Nancy will ultimately agree to some kind of slush fund that includes money for border security...

Trump will then sign it and do a ridiculous victory lap.

And as he hits ‘send’, we’ll learn that the money is actually largely earmarked for other things.

Trump will barely get out the ridiculously hyperbolic tweets before it is discovered that he didn’t actually get $___ billion for a wall...

He got $1.5 bil for border security (just like he was offered).

They just put it in a bigger bag because he’s too dumb to look inside.

Trump is trying to steer.

You can hurt that by putting up billboards where his audience can see the truth which rebuts his fictions.

Otherwise, let’s just watch how Chuck and Nancy play Narc puppetmasters...
