This Channel migrants “crisis” is such a blatant attempt to stir up xenophobia ahead of the Brexit vote.

A dinghy of 6 refugees is top story on the BBC - 3 above the Dept of Transport awarding a £14million contract to a shipping company without any history of sailing a vessel.
It's one of those moments when you can clearly perceive the machinery behind how a story comes to break, dominate the day, and dictate reporting for the rest of the week or even longer. Corbyn the Czech Spy being another good example.
It's not alternative media fuelling the growth of conspiratorial thinking - it's the fact that the public get treated like idiots by editors who think we can't perceive an alignment of interests between establishment media and the government.
The sheer PANTOMIME of Sajid Javid cancelling his holiday to deal with a 'major incident' (an average of 3-4 migrants attempting the crossing per day since November). What's he gonna do, stalk up and down the Kent coast bellowing at anything that floats? bbc.co.uk/news/uk-467145…
If you want to discourage unsafe Channel crossings, you have to expand access to safe means of crossing the border. The fact is, Britain is pretty stingy when it comes to granting asylum applications.
