By the way, we have already seen the beginnings of the groundwork being laid for the Cowboys to stand pat on a terrible offensive scheme going into 2019....

Thread me for how it goes down...
First we hear about how they don’t know for sure if there are any real “upgrades” available, and how they “don’t want to make change for the sake of change bc we did some good things on offense in 2018”
Then we hear “maybe they’re waiting to make a move as a courtesy” to the guy potentially on the outs, so he can find work...
Which is followed by “we made a run at a guy you would all recognize but he went elsewhere” as a way to try to show the fans that they aren’t gonna settle, even though that guy ALWAYS chooses to go somewhere besides the most valuable and recognizable team in the league. 🤔
Then there’s the name from within the staff... usually a guy who has called some plays in the past at some level, or who we were told “was a future coordinator when he was hired, who we are told is going to “have an increased influence on what they’re doing on offense”
Then there’s a player or two who is talked up in the off-season, either a returning player who was under utilized or a new acquisition with an interesting skill set who we are told is gonna be featured in a big way.
Then training camp rolls around, we hear about the “new wrinkles” in the offense and how they’re “doing some things differently”, both from the players/coaches and from the media on hand.
Then it’s week 1, and it’s 2nd and 10 and they give the ball to Zeke on a duo run against a 9 man box.

And then on the next play it’s 3rd & 7 and they run All Curls to the sticks and Dak dumps it to Zeke 2 yds behind the LoS and he gains 5 yards and they punt.
And that’s when it hits most ppl that it’s all exactly the same.

Where we begin the crazy cycle again for another 12 months.
