As the standard of living in Russia is falling, Putin needs small & victorious wars abroad to stay in power.
As the Mueller investigation proceeds, Trump needs a small war somewhere so that he can claim emergency power.
That means that Putin & Trump both for domestic political reasons have a need for a small war abroad. Why not with one another? Why not in Venezuela? Best option going.
Therefore the US needs to take two steps:
1. Impose far tougher sanctions on Putin & his cronies & threaten far worse fast!
2. Prosecute Trump however is legally possible!

On January 16, President Donald Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani stated: "I never said there was no collusion between the [Trump] campaign or between people in the campaign." He continued: "The president did not collude with the Russians."
The question is no longer whether there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia but how far it went. This leads to 10 questions that Special Counsel Robert Mueller should be able to answer:
1. Has Trump been a Russian asset from his first visit to Moscow in 1987?

#Putin's opening to this press conference suggests the takeover of southern #Syria by Asad/Iran is a model of U.S.-Russia cooperation that should be expanded, and flatters Trump that his summit with Kim [which Putin very much liked the look of] resolved the Korean Peninsula.
On #Ukraine, Putin hints broadly that the U.S. agrees with him that Kyiv's intransigence prevented Minsk's implementation, and then carefully lets it be known Trump brought up the election meddling, an assist to Trump politically, before of course dismissing it.
