THREAD: Here's an aside on the state of journalism in this country. No one from MSM looked into Phillips' "non-profit." NO ONE. Yet they name it in sympathetic coverage of the man. This includes @nytimes The. Newspaper. Of. Record. Yet, in a matter of days, "working" 1/
2/ extremely part-time, between homeschooling, housekeeping, medical treatments, and teaching, I was able to expose the reality of the "non-profit" from my kitchen table. I have no expense account or research assistant, although @JennaNeen found lots of details for me and share
3/ BUT I didn't just run with it, I independently researched with GOVERNMENT resources all of the details. I then tracked down the legitimate Native Youth Leadership Alliance director, who informed me as of 12/2018 he was no longer w/ group, but he asked communications director
4/ to contact me. Nothing. I tracked down Washington Peace Center and former director & contacted both. Contacted Native Youth Alliance at contacts given for giving donations, but nothing. I've never had a journalism class in my life, but know you don't just run with stories
5/5 like MSM did in its hit on Covington Catholic boys. Now, I've done all the leg work. And yet, watch, MSM will completely ignore this story. That is the state of journalism in America. And that is sad. END.
