I would laugh hard if Apple canceled Facebook’s developer account over the breach and removed the main Facebook app from the store.
Apple just needs to argue that customer privacy matters and cutting off FB dev resources was the only way to stop their invasion of privacy.
Apple can point people to the web app, which requires no dev resources to maintain. Sure, it lacks features, but it protects customers.
Apple can publicly shame Facebook and only let them back in the store once they promise to behave and stop invading customers’ phones.
Facebook having to testify before Congress (which was stupid) has given them enough bad press that I think Apple could win that fight.
