Facebook recently came out with a Facebook Attribution tool to help advertisers better track conversions across different platforms and devices.

In this thread, I will explain to you why you need to have this running for your accounts and how to set it up.
If you are running ads for another business it is really important to have proper attribution tools in place to allow you to know exactly where the conversions are being driven from and by what platform.

This helps avoid any over attribution problems that tend to occur otherwise
So in order to get it set up, you will want to go to your Business Manager menu and click Business Settings.

Then on the left-hand side under the Accounts section click "Line of Business".

Then press the blue "Add" button and name it accordingly.
Once created you are going to want to assign an ad account and a pixel to the Line of Business.

After doing so don't forget to give yourself access to it as well.

Go back to the menu and click on Attribution and then wait a few minutes as Facebook needs time to sync the data
Once it is done, the first page displays the number of conversions your account has received.

From different platforms and the type of conversion it was (paid or organic).

You are able to sync your data from other advertising platforms in order to see all of the conversions.
The next tab that is helpful is the one labeled "Cross-Device".

Here you are able to see in detail your customer's journey to converting and what influenced them the most.

This helps with planning out future campaigns and knowing what plays a part in getting conversions.
The new Facebook Attribution tool is very helpful especially if you are running an account for a client.

Being able to track cross-device performance and seeing the true attribution across different platforms is invaluable.
This tool will give you a better understanding of the account's performance and allow you to make better marketing decisions.

Hope you learned something from this thread and please let me know if you have any questions!
