The DOJ OIG released a new report containing a procedural reform recommendation for the FBI regarding the FBI's collection of employee's text messages and a security vulnerability in their system.

It's obvious this came about due to the Strzok and Page text messages.
Here is one of the MOST important parts of this report:

"...unknown to the FBI, the OIG found that FBI text messages were saved to a database on the devices..."
The OIG found a DATABASE ON THE PHONES THEMSELVES that contained a "substantial amount" of text messages (in plain text) that were sent and received on those phones.
