Sarah Kendzior: The National Emergency gives Trump powers that he wouldn't ordinarily have, such as bringing troops out into the streets, freezing private citizens' bank accounts. This is only the 2nd Nat'l Emergency in history--other was 9/11.

Sarah Kendzior: I'm worried that Cohen will take the line that this was about money laundering and building a Trump Tower--Russia. I worry he'll cover up a crime with a scandal. This is a massive crime--THE crime of our history, & I hope people remember that.
