Jacob Rees-Mogg doing apologism for the concentration camps in the Boer war now saying the death rate was the same as Glasgow. About 28,000 Boers died and over 20,000 black South Africans, although the British didn't bother counting.

There were around 230,000 people interned between the Boer, black, and overseas POW camps, so that's a death rate of about 10% over two years. Vast majority of deaths were children.
He also says people were interned for their own safety. Black camps included a whole network of forced labour camps. Boer camps were a counter insurgency measure to cut off Boer fighters from food/support, which included a scorched earth policy against farms by the British.

The gist of Candace Owen's comments in this video are really quite close to establishment British opinion right up until 1939 and to a large degree afterwards. And this is a significant element in British fascism and colonial apologia.
Let's take her comment on declining (white) British birth rates first. Increasing birth rates was a significant feature of the 1945 Conservative manifesto on which 'depends the life of Britain and her enduring glory'.

Okay lets do an India/Pakistan update

Pakistan have shot down 2 Indian jets, and have closed all airspace to commercial flights.

The escalation came a one day after the Indian Air Force bombed a "terrorist training camp" inside Pakistan.
Pakistan’s PM @ImranKhanPTI currently addressing the nation:

"We didn't take action earlier without assessing our own damage from Indian airstrikes...Two Indian MiGs that entered Pakistani airspace today after our retaliation were shot down. But where do we go from here?"
In direct breach of the Geneva Convention, an Indian Air Force pilot tied up and filmed by Pakistani captors

WRT India's airstrike on "terrorist camps" in Pakistan, how degrading would that be to the terror networks in reality? Very little. You can't destroy much that cannot be replaced quickly. Would that work as a deterrent? No. 2/n

#Breaking - Some defense sources report #Indian air strikes across the Line of Control in Muzafarabad, #Pakistan. Indian air force briefing expected later today. Pakistan said Indian jets dropped their payloads & "fled". More confirmation of details needed.
There are also reports of dual, air and ground Indian strikes in Pakistan occupied Jammu and Kashmir. No official word yet. Waiting for updates. Stay tuned.
There are also reports that 2 Pakistani JF-17s fighter jets have been shot down.

CONFIRMED: Indian fighter jets violated Pakistani airspace over LoC. Pakistani sources say Pakistani jets repelled Indian incursion.
Incident happened about over an hour ago. Pakistani jets are on high alert. Pakistani and Kashmiri sources based along LoC reporting heavy air activity from Indian side over LoC.

Breaking: Large terrorist attack in #India. More than 40 Indian Reserve Police Force personnel were killed and many others injured when Pakistani backed terrorists targeted a convoy with a car bomb at Awantipora in Jammu and Kashmir's today, ndtv.com/india-news/15-…
Reports suggested that the vehicle used by the terrorists was a Mahindra Scorpio carrying more than 350 kg of explosives in what is the worst attack ever on security personnel in the state.
Sources said that terrorists triggered the car bomb while 78 vehicles with over 2,500 reserve police men were on the Srinagar-Jammu highway. The stretch on which the incident occurred had been sanitized in the morning & authorities called it a serious breach of security.
