As ever, the real Brexit/US chlorine chicken issues is this:

If UK wants to ensure its exports of animal origin can enter EU without them needing to enter via border inspection posts & be subject to checks it will need to remain within EU's SPS (food hygiene) regime.
If UK remains within the EU's SPS regime it will not have the flexibility to concede to US demands on agriculture. Therefore, probably no trade deal with US. Nut on positive side, no need for inspections on UK lamb exports at Calais/Irish border.

That's the trade-off.
(something something caveat re: Swiss technically being able to import labelled hormone grown beef despite otherwise applying EU SPS regime domestically and to imports)
