Started Romans today in my morning Bible reading & my brain was exploding by V.6.
“the Son of God in power,”
“the Spirit of holiness,”
“Jesus Christ our Lord,”
“the obedience of faith.”
Good grief. In awe of it. Of Him. Just want to say this AM, plead even, read your Bibles.
Don’t leave it just to the Bible scholars, academics, pastors, teachers & ministers. So much was endured so people like you and I could read it for ourselves in our own languages. Just pick a book of the Bible and start reading a chapter a day. When you finish, start another.
The impact on your life will be inestimable. Your faith will be built up, your prayers will reshape & start coming into closer alignment with the will of God which means profoundly increased effectiveness in prayer. You will be equipped for every good work. And most importantly…

Relational challenges will almost always be more demanding for us than circumstantial challenges. People are just harder to deal with than things. In relational challenges we also have someone in eyeshot to blame. And let’s admit it. Some situations actually fix. People don’t. ->
Ideally, we grow and change but fix? Nope. Not until we see Jesus. This is for all of us who desperately need endurance in relationships we deeply want - are committed to - but find greatly challenging. Overwhelming at times. That which does not challenge us rarely changes us. ->
Here’s the thing. We’re being changed in that continual challenge but in what way? The goal is to grow in Christlikeness but we can so easily increasingly lose heart, patience, passion, compassion. The last one’s especially crucial in relationships. Fight to stay compassionate.->

The colonial masters came with Military force & there were no police. In Nigeria, d British forces (who arrived with d colonial bureaucrats) were responsible for civil as well as military control. They took over our traditional “police” structures operated by clan Heads & rulers
The armed forces & judiciary were among the first institutions to be formed. But with the growing need to keep peace & operate both soft & hard power, the police was established from the remains of local military traditional forces.

#Khashoggi Case Thread: I am going to ‘pin’ this post to use it as an ‘Info Thread’ on the #Khashoggi Case. I am in #Turkey. I’ve been following the case closely and with access to sources & experts here. This is a very ‘sensitive’ criminal case due to ‘Diplomatic Booby Traps’!!!
The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

I read a short #InspiringStory and found it #TooGoodNotToShare...

A famous writer was in his study room. He picked up his pen and started writing :

✖️Last year, I had a surgery and my gall bladder was removed. I had to stay stuck to the bed due to this surgery for a long time
✖️The same year I became 60 years & had to give up my favourite job.I had spent 30 years of my life in this publishing company.

✖️The same year I experienced the sorrow of the death of my father.
✖️And in the same year my son failed in his medical exam because he had a car accident. He had to stay in bed at hospital with the cast on for several days. The destruction of car was another loss.

At the end he wrote:
✖️✖️Alas! It was such bad year !!
