Anybody still making the Tip O'Neil/Ronald Reagan were political enemies, but worked things out as friends argument in today's day and age is a fool. Not only is the political dynamic changed, O'Neil and Reagan weren't at all friendly. It's a myth.

Howard Schultz seems like he's genuinely well-meaning, and I don't believe he's running explicitly to protect his tax cut, but he's living in a fantasyland. He's too naive to be POTUS.

This is a perfect nutshell encapsulation of the problem of competition in education. Children are not helped by trying to level the competition for a handful of elite slots. They are helped by resourcing all schools to serve all students. The system needs tearing down.

Something happened this week that alarmed me. @senjudiciary voted on a #ProtectMueller bill. This was an important first step to avoid executive overreach and ensure the #RuleOfLaw survives as an American value. Unfortunately @senjohncornyn and @sentedcruz voted NO. /1
They seem to think suspects should direct the actions of law enforcement. I am old enough to remember when the #GOP said it would #BackTheBlue and suspects got their day in court, but weren't allowed to obstruct the cops chasing them. /2
