Today could be an especially consequential day for Donald Trump's presidency. Here are some things to chew on while we wait:
We're told Mueller's report is "comprehensive." But it's possible we won't hear a great deal from the man who's led the investigation that captivated Washington for nearly two years. usatoday.com/story/news/pol…
Congress is expecting to see quite a lot. The House voted 420-0 to demand the report, and many lawmakers also want the underlying evidence. If they don't get it, expect a huge fight. usatoday.com/story/news/pol…
Meanwhile, the investigation that began as a probe of Russian election interference has cascaded into a bunch of other criminal investigations into Trump, his business, his family and others. Their legal jeopardy didn't end with Mueller's report.

Some of Trump's closest advisers have been charged with felonies. And Mueller has already revealed a sophisticated Russian hacking and social media operation, a campaign that was eager to benefit from it, and aides who lied to cover it up. usatoday.com/story/news/201…
Mueller spent a lot of time investigating lies by Trump's aides. We looked at all of those lies - the ones that were crimes, at least - and the central question Mueller still hasn't answered: Why did they do it?

Trump's aides lied extensively. And in prosecuting them, Mueller has already revealed quite a lot, both about them and about the conduct of Trump and his campaign.

Now we wait.
One other thing to think about, as everyone focuses on "collusion:" To the extent the lies by Trump's aides impeded the FBI's ability to understand and counter Russia's intelligence operation, they could have helped Moscow get away with it.

That's what FBI agents told George Papadopoulos when they interviewed him. One said: "This is an important issue for the government to figure out right now." He lied anyway.
