£4.2bn is the total spending on ALL Brexit preparations (deal or No-deal) for 2016-2020.

Of that £2bn was allocated for 2019/20, which has only just started.

So fair to say that so far the government has spent just over £2.2bn on ALL Brexit planning.
and to be clear: officials are unable to split out how much of that figure is No Deal vs Deal
