Instead of deterring Russian interference, Trump downplays & ignores it. He's also undermined sanctions, amplified Kremlin propaganda, boosted Putin's stature. Hard to see Trump echoing Russia's goals as something other than a means to get more help to maintain GOP minority rule.

@KenDilanianNBC Dilanian is spot on. Kushner & WH continuing to downplay Russia's sweeping & successful operation is itself damaging democracy. At best, they ignore the threat. At worst, it's a green light to attack the 2020 election, undermining us further & eroding trust in the entire system.
