Finding out that the Daily Caller is one of Facebook's new fact checking partners confirms my general impression that Facebook's leaders have very little understanding of what news actually is, how it gets made, or why it matters: axios.com/facebook-fact-…
Has nothing to do with the Daily Caller being conservative. (I wouldn't object to the WSJ being a fact checking partner of Facebook.) Has everything to do with the outlet being garbage.
The Daily Caller did a number of stories on #GrabYourWallet. A half dozen or more, I think? They reached out to me zero times to ask questions. As a result their reporting was full of errors. They're bottom feeders monetizing the hard work & overhead of reputable news orgs.

As Congress gets ready to ask Google & Facebook execs about how their companies fueled a rise in white nationalism & racism, I encourage members to ask about proactive (versus reactive) measures to stop it and whether the companies feel an overarching responsibility to the truth.
Also, when GOP-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee looks into how tech cos. have allegedly enabled an anti-conservative bias, we can ignore their likely heavy use of word "censorship." Only govt. can censor. Companies have the right to do biz (or not) with whomever they want.
If a racist, conspiracy theory spewing loon wanders into Nordstrom and security shows him the door, that's not censorship—right? That's a company choosing to keep its customers safe. Same for Facebook and Google. Companies don't owe anyone a platform. They don't owe us speech.

I'm really not impressed w/ Joe Biden making light of the consent issue today. Pretty disrespectful to the women who have come forward, in my opinion, and tone deaf in general in terms of the whole spirit of #MeToo movement. I want leaders who don't need any of this explained.
Both the president of the United States and the top challenger for the position joked this week about inappropriately touching women.
Those trying to say that Biden's behavior isn't what #MeToo is about might want to check in with the actual founder of Me Too on that.

1/ This is why we can't have nice things. It's not "The Daily Caller", it's "CheckYourFact.com", which while related to The Daily Caller, is editorially independent. Moreover, all the fact checking sides, partisan or not, thoroughly document their facts, and are accountable
2/ You can checkout CheckYourFact.com yourself (or @Check_Your_Fact) and evaluate for yourself their credibility. I have, and I can find nothing wrong with them.
3/ Do wind farms cause cancer, as Trump claims? Their answer is entirely predictable:

#New PA cong. map increases D chance of winning the House majority by 4%. They only need a 6.8% generic ballot margin now (down from 7.7) to be favored.

Diff. will be closer to 10% in Nov when uncertainty from polls is ⬇️. Redraw is a very big deal.

One major reason the new PA map is such a big gain for Democrats is that it solidifies, not just tips, PA districts in Philly burbs. Also creates one additional vulnerable R district. (Easily seen in this map made by @JMilesColeman)
My forecasting model will have new PA map in the near future. This is not just a simple switch; it’s a coding redesign, restructuring of input, & drawing new geographic files. Takes a while (for me, a student).
