There are around 47,000,000 people registered to vote in the upcoming European elections. Turnout was around 35% in each of the last 2 EE. If we bump that up to a generous 50% for 2019 that's 23,500,000 people voting. That's the potential all the parties have to fight over.
Some areas, like London or the South East, include over 2,000,000 participating voters. Others, like North East England, are not even 1/3 of that. So you can see how on a regional level every vote counts, especially since the threshold to win MEPs in 2014 was 110-180K votes.
This time around, if the turnout does end up improving substantially, those thresholds are going to rise to 140K+ votes even in the smaller areas. And that means that votes for small parties and independents will have no chance at all of delivering an MEP.
So if your first concern is Brexit (and let's face it, these are the *European* elections!) you should vote for an unashamedly pro-Remain party:
LibDems
Greens
Change UK
SNP
Plaid Cymru
Sinn Fein
Alliance

Any other choice would be a wasted opportunity.
And if you're thinking "how else can I influence the vote?", well if you can manage to persuade 20 people to vote for pro-Remain parties who might otherwise not have done so, and 1,000 other people in your area do the same, that will give them 10% more of the vote. That's huge!
It's like the old joke...
How do you eat an elephant?
One bite at a time.

If we all take a bite, it's still possible the elephant can be eaten.

So the two messages are:
- Vote for one of the pro-Remain parties listed further up this thread
- Labour are NOT a pro-Remain party
