1. Self Deception & Human Nature: Consider that we minimize instinctively our own corruption. We dismiss “little lies” telling ourselves that If we ever faced a really big test, we’d tell the truth. We wouldn’t buckle.
2. Yet it is that corruption is stealth. All the little lies are training us for failure. When faced with the big test, we can only rely upon our preparation.
3. Imagine being James Comey. You are tasked with investigating your guaranteed boss. You know about “pay for play”, you likely have inside knowledge to technology info sales to China by the Clintons. You know about Haiti but you know about so much more.
4. You may have even protested, quietly, about Hillary setting up an illegal private server, to President Obama, Loretta Lynch etc
5. You know Christopher Steele’s “Russian Dossier” is juvenile fiction.
6. If you do your job, not only will you lose your job as the highest law enforcement position in the western world, you’ll lose your reputation and...
7. You know that Brennan and Clapper can facilitate information under a Hillary AG and can end up in prison. (See Schumer’s threat about crossing intelligence officials).
Comey tried to play it both ways: “extremely careless but no intent” in light of 30,000 deletions, perjury, obstruction and destruction of evidence. Yet this was the safe bet because of @CNN polling 90% likely election of Hillary Clinton.
9. Like Pilate, a career of corruption left Comey incapable of facing the greatest test of his life. Like all of us, James Comey will answer to the Creator where no deception can clear him.
