😒Lost in translation. Putin chose his words carefully to achieve this conflation. He began, Mueller found “NO TRACE” which u expect means NO RUSSIAN TRACE=NO INTERFERENCE. But unexpectedly said “COLLUSION”—conflating interference w/ collusion & echoing Trump language+propaganda!

#Mueller confirms the Russia investigation was NEVER going to indict Trump—b/c a sitting president CANNOT be charged, per OLC. It would be unconstitutional, so NOT AN OPTION, he said. But Trump IS NOT exonerated. UPSHOT: Evidence showed obstruction but Mueller's hands were tied.

Mueller: I am speaking out today because our investigation is complete. The Attorney General has made our report largely public, we're closing the Special Counsel's office and I am resigning from the DOJ to return to private life.
Mueller is outlining his indictments, the role of the GRU and Wikileaks and Russian citizens who hacked computers and emails and assumed fake personas in order to influence the US 2016 Presidential election.

Damning. Mueller found that Team🇷🇺Trump *knew* of #Russia's efforts to influence the election and "expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through #Russian🇷🇺efforts."

Mueller states that the reason that members of Team🇷🇺Trump have not been charged criminally was that the investigation "did not establish" that there was an "agreement–tacit or express–between the Trump Campaign and the #Russian🇷🇺government on election interference."
