Coming a day after Boris Johnson’s confirmation that he’s running for the Tory leadership this week truly has been full of surprises.
The truth is lots of British politics is quite predictable right now, it just takes a depressing length of time to get there. Also see WAB second reading, Tory leader running on no deal, horrible parliamentary crisis in October.
It’s like watching a car crash really really slowly.

If this result were to be born out would be the first time Plaid has ever beaten Labour in a national Welsh election.

Remain vote wise, Lab squeezed by @theSNP north of the border, @LibDems south of the border and @Plaid_Cymru in Wales. Support unravelling in every direction.
Looking beyond the Euros, given SNP hegemony doesn't seem to be going anywhere, Labour really, *really* cannot afford an insurgent Plaid.

The greater problem is that it is only now, with the gradual recovery of the Lib Dems, is anyone finally meeting Farage on the battlefield. May and Corbyn (shockingly) are missing in action. The consequences of this retreat of mainstream parties could be profound.
More important still: remainers (and liberal Britain generally) are yet to find a language which communicates with people who don't already agree with them. In fact, if anything, I think the problem is getting worse.

The thing I find most frustrating about British politics is how nearly everyone with political power or a media platform is myopically focused on how Britain navigates the next few years, while there is no national conversation about where we want to be in 10, 20 or 50 years.
Both sides of the Brexit divide are guilty. Continuity Remainers want only to reverse Brexit and make it so that the EU referendum result was nothing but a bad dream. Hard Brexiteers have their platitudes about Britain swashbuckling its way to WTO rules-based free trade glory.
The truth is that Britain has entered a state of political discontinuity, where the old left/right political divides, "acceptable" policies & talking points are no longer adequate to the issues we face. We're not alone; other Western countries face the same, but are ignoring it.

This all started because the #MetPolice & #LBRUT couldn't do their day jobs properly & decided to take the law into their own hands. It started as a small cover up 12 years ago but has turned into British State Persecution.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.
