Change UK had to be the anti-Farage: they blew it. Revoke is now the only answer as a reason for them to be- but they won't take it. Now who will speak for liberal England? And how much of our old politics will be left when they finally do? My piece. news.sky.com/story/poor-per…
The greater problem is that it is only now, with the gradual recovery of the Lib Dems, is anyone finally meeting Farage on the battlefield. May and Corbyn (shockingly) are missing in action. The consequences of this retreat of mainstream parties could be profound.
More important still: remainers (and liberal Britain generally) are yet to find a language which communicates with people who don't already agree with them. In fact, if anything, I think the problem is getting worse.
