Basic and obvious flaw in @MrHarryCole’s argument. People were told that by the losing side. The winning side denied it, with vigour. The majority can be taken to have believed the winning side.
And of course money isn’t everything. But it matters a lot to those who don’t have very much. And on a close vote ...
There are arguments against a 2nd referendum. But if Brexiters have (as @MrHarryCole hints they have) abandoned the “Brexit won’t hurt us economically” argument (which was very much part of the Leave campaign), they need to accept that those arguments are correspondingly weaker.
