It's a scary time in Iran. US sanctions have caused prices to double or triple. There are shortages of food and medicine.

They talk about the possibility of war, but the reality for Iranians is that Trump's sanctions are war- and they're killing Iranians.#NoWarWithIran

At my grocery store, basic subsidized staples like cheese and rice are rationed one per person.

People line up for hours to buy government-subsidized meat, since the price of "free market" meat has doubled.
A friend arrived at my house distraught the other day. On her way over, she saw an old man having a seizure. When she tried to help him, he told her that epilepsy medicine had doubled in price.

He couldn't afford to not have seizures anymore.

It makes me sad to say, but part of why I post these pictures is fear that America is about to attack Iran, destroying a place and a people that I love dearly.

I hope Americans can learn how their governments’ policies are damaging other nations.
No people should ever need to be “humanised”- but I think Americans have gotten so used to the idea of bombing the Middle East that they forget there are real people and places they’re obliterating.

And living today in Iran in the shadow of US war, I see so few ways to stop it
It’s not just war- US sanctions have thrown Iran’s currency into free fall, leading to shortages and pushing millions into instant poverty.

A nation is being obliterated piece by piece, while Trump watches in glee. It’s hard to describe how hopeless and overwhelmed Iranians are

Vank Cathedral is the spiritual center of Esfahan’s Armenian community, which numbers in the thousands.

It was built in the 1660s, after the Safavid Shah moved thousands of Armenians from the Caucasus - part of Iran until the 1800 - to settle his new capital.
The interior of Vank Cathedral is incredible - it represents a harmonious fusion of Iranian, Armenian, and Christian themes.

It is a perfect metaphor for Armenian identity in Iran, which is home to hundreds of thousands of Armenian Christians today.

Firstly, I don’t think so that war is about to happen. US will increase pressure on Iran, they have already sanctioned them heavily and forced the Oil/gas importers of Iran to back out and Iranian oil exports have fallen significantly within a year.
