I’m a reporter for the ALI Principles of Government Ethics and was on the ALI ethics panel in Washington on Sunday, but I flew back home rather than attend this dinner. He’s in contempt.

I flew home for a much better attraction- my kids’ soccer games yesterday. If @SpeakerPelosi had promised to send the Sergeant at Arms to the ALI dinner (with handcuffs) to arrest the man who is in contempt of Congress, I might have skipped the soccer games to attend the dinner.

Still, watching my daughter score a goal in soccer was much more satisfying than the possibility of watching another Attorney General (I am old enough to remember Big John Mitchell in ‘74) get carted off to the slammer.

AG Barr is now being introduced to the Members of the ALI.
His talk is beginning

His topic -- Nationwide injunctions.
He is quoting Justice Scalia:
"every banana republic has its bill of rights ..."

The Attorney General's ALI talk tonight is on nationwide injunctions.
He is attacking federal courts' injunctions against the Trump Administration attempts to rescind DACA.
He is going into a full fledge assault on the judiciary.

AG Barr is going to complain to ALI Members for the next 45 minutes about the many nationwide injunctions that federal courts have issued against the Trump Administration. DACA, other immigration policies, you name it. Barr wants courts to butt out and let Trump do as he pleases.

AG Barr says that federal courts have issued 37 nationwide injunctions in the first two years of the Trump Administration compared with 2 nationwide injunctions in the first two years of the Obama Administration. And he blames that on the courts....
Whatever ....

AG Barr said tonight that nationwide injunctions against cancelling DACA denied @realDonaldTrump a bargaining chip in negotiations with Congress to get a wall. This led to the shut down, etc.
All the judges' fault.
Because of them Trump couldn't hold DACA hostage to get a wall.
