"Cruelty" is one of the Left's favorite epithets. When cruelty apparently saves multitudes does it mean kindness is refuted or was te Left playing a word game?

To many ideologues Salvini's life saving policies are evil not because the result in death but because his motives are impure. By contrast as Hobsbawm argued, causing death of millions is ok in a good cause.

Even the Woke can't escape from the problem of evil.
