Yes, it's stark to say 'the rule of law is gone." But seeing the unvarnished truth means not sugarcoating the awful reality we're facing.

#Trump is effectively above the law.

#Barr is a threat to democracy.

#Miller is torturing children.

#McConnell is stacking the courts.
Can we revive democracy? Can we reinstate the rule of law? Yes. But we have to acknowledge reality AS IT IS, not as we want it to be. We can't let ourselves become the proverbial frogs in boiling water, waiting for Mueller or Pelosi or Schumer or a 2020 candidate to save us.

I keep hearing people say, about people that have done significant, intentional harm, "well, they did a lot of good, too!" Like, yes, this guy abused people but also he raises a ton of money for charity! That's... such a bizarre argument.
You can't "balance out" harm with unrelated good. There's no cosmic ledger where if you do 3 more good things than harmful things, voila, you are a Certified Good Person. What's this whole "balancing out" bullshit?
If you want to "balance out" harm you've done, you have to *directly address and repair THAT harm.* Giving money to charity doesn't undo embezzling.

You surrender, and that brings the whole thing, that opens the door. Surrendering, the effort to surrender brings an opening to you.
If you are open to stone, you become open to the whole existence, because it is only a question of opening. How can you be open to a stone, and not open to a tree?

1. There are some who think that Parliament would never allow the UK to crash out of the EU without a deal.
2. There are others who think that the UK will crash out with no deal, but it will be o.k., because very quickly the UK will go back to the EU with a begging bowl, and Brexit In Name Only, or Brino, will be drafted up super quick and agreed to.
3. This won't happen, because this craven set of Brexit politicians cannot listen to reason, and all they will do is blame the EU for their own stupidity when the EU refuses their conflicting irrational demands, such as leaving a club, but still keeping the value of membership.

"you will not have saved the money by writing them yourself since lawyers are so expensive-" At least she admits what many suspected from the start: The C&D's were not legal documents, merely threats with legal jargon thrown in.
