Among the things I most value about Twitter:

It has led me to an array of strong, fearless women and has exposed me to their voices, passions, and work.

In a few cases, I’ve had a chance to get to know the person behind the new-to-me account personally.

One of the women I credit Twitter with having led me to is Victoria Brownworth (@VABVOX).

Professionally, she’s a tireless journalist chronicling important issues.

Personally, she’s a strenuous advocate and a fearless fighter against sexism, racism, bigotry and intolerance.

Victoria is one of those people who I respect professionally, trust as a steady moral voice *and* admire and like personally.

I like passionate people. People who are called to their work by the things that burn inside.

Victoria is one of those.

They’re rare. And special.
