The DOJ #OIG posted a list of various audit and review recommendations that weren’t closed yet, as of March 31/2019.

The report states that “not closed” simply means that a recommendation hasn’t been fully implemented yet by the applicable department.

Page 108, in regards to the FBI & 2016 election:

OIG recommended:

The FBI develop guidelines to identify risks of & alternatives to letting witnesses attend voluntary interviews of other witnesses, such as attorneys who are also witnesses.

OIG recommended that FBI make it clear that they can’t announce charging decisions publicly before consulting with the AG, DAG, US Atty or their designee, and not without approval of at least one of them unless the law allows that disclosure.

Pg 109, FBI 2016 election continued:

DOJ should provide guidance to agents and prosecutors about taking actions that could affect an election, such as overt investigative steps, public announcements, and indictments.

FBI should reconsider its employ eduction abt its media contact policies & ethics rules regarding taking gifts and if current punishment is enough of a deterrence.

OIG recommended FBI strengthen its training of managers & supervisors to make sure their employees communications to offices or officials outside chain of command maybe be protected disclosures and subject to fines.

Notify the President's Intelligence Oversight Board abt UNAUTHORIZED collections that were found in a review containing something [redacted & classifed] from two providers..

Pg 210, re FBI investigations of certain domestic advocacy groups (from 2010):

Create procedures to track sources of facts given to Congress and the public 🤔

Require they identify a federal crime

Clarify when 1st amendment cases s/b classified as “acts of terrorism”
