Robert Kennedy was killed 51 y.a. on the 1st anniv of the Six Day War by a Palestinian terrorist. Few knew he was a war correspondent in Palestine in 1948, right out of Harvard.
His newspaper went bankrupt & his dispatches were lost - until I found yellowed newspaper clips
I transcribed his 4 articles and posted them online. They show a very perceptive young man who expressed his admiration for the Jewish State-in-the-making.

RFK picture taken 1 month before Israel proclaimed independence. Pic taken on Julians Way - today King David St.
Behind him is British army vehicle and army checkpoint at Agron St. intersection. Today, on the right of RFK, is the Reform Judaism Center.
