Slime, at its most basic, is just water, school glue, and powdered sodium borate, also known as borax, a common household cleaning agent.
But it has taken on a life of its own and it’s taking the social media world by storm.

At first, manufacturers weren’t prepared for the demand; stores couldn't keep enough Elmer's glue in stock.
Now Elmer's sells items like gallon-size glue, slime kits, and glow-in-the-dark glues. Niche companies have popped up selling ingredients specifically to add to slime. 5/
