This man is a Dominionist Christian. He belongs to a Christian movement growing exponentially globally. All over the US, Canada, and every nation, globally.

Are all pastors so violent? No.
But all Dominionist Christians do believe in an inerrant bible, and that god has given white, god fearing, Christians dominion over the earth and its resources.

What is evident by watching the video, this man believes that God enables civil government. He believes the Bible should be the basis of civil & criminal law and enforced.
Dominionists believe it’s the word of god transcribed to paper. Those who ignore the “inerrancy” of the Bible are in the same category as those this man wants executed.
This ideology is black and white. You either believe in their version of Christianity, or you are the enemy.

That’s why schools that teach being kind, helpful, accepting and compassionate are accused of indoctrination. Because they are teaching humanist beliefs & values.

It’s the replacement of the Age of Enlightenment’s Humanism this movement is trying to erase.

The Enlightenment presented huge conflict. Proponents expanded education through encyclopedias, developed the scientific method and used reason, not mysticism to make decisions.

Reason led to suppression of Church dominance and mystical forms of acquiring knowledge. It led to liberalism, modernism & humanism. It’s the foundational basis of modern western democracies.
That’s what the efforts of Dominionists want to erase.

That’s why these ideas sound so foreign to progressives. We use reason, humanism and a focus on modernism to conduct ourselves through the world. Even modern conservatives do.
But that’s not what Dominionists use. They speak to god, receive revelations from god and deny science, logic and reason are valuable endeavors to inform decisions. The Bible provides all they need, along with mystical revelations and divine intervention, to live.
The distance western democratic society has collectively travelled from the pre-Enlightenment period is overwhelming Dominionists. As a progressive, I’ve little empathy.

Globally, Dominionists are in the process of overtaking every “Christian” nation. They are more dangerous than nuclear bombs & climate change. Why? They are engineering elections to be the governing power that decides our global fate & to control nuclear and climate decisions.
Wise up people. This is who is trying to get elected in Canada under the CPC banner. Aided by NDP and Greens who are aiming for official opposition party status, who are completely unaware of the threat, and willingly handing the reins of power to Dominionists.
If anyone thinks we don’t have people like this here in Canada, they’re sadly mistaken.
