I'm not saying Brexit was mentally ill in the beginning. It may have seemed worth a try. At least let's have a proper look at it.
It never appealed to me, but I can see that it may have seemed worth exploring.

All that is fair enough.

But I think we've reached a stage where Brexit is now mentally ill.
Because Brexit has obviously failed. Theresa May couldn't achieve it in any form that parliament was willing. A failure.

Brexit is not hypothetical any more. It is a fact. It is a written document. There is no other. And do Brexitmen accept that reality? No. They reject that reality.
And those who reject reality are insane.

There are two factions of Brexitmen, and two species of insanity, and I don't know which is madder than the other.

One faction can't understand what parliament has said.
And the other can't understand what Europe has said.

You've got the weedy little Englishmen who think Parliament has to change its mind.

And the fat and gobby Englishmen who think Europe has to change its mind.

All Brexitmen have turned into Theresa May, refusing to "countenance" reality and driving themselves insane. Banging their head against the wall.

"Parliament CANNOT refuse me." Bang. Bang. Bang.

"Europe CANNOT refuse me." Bang. Bang. Bang.

Brexit has obviously failed. And all Brexitmen are insane
