Haftar would *never* dare to do this without buy-in from his sponsors, the UAE & Saudi regimes. I hope it's a bluff.
I hope this is a bluff, but if this escalates, then we'll be seeing the Libyan civil war become a proxy war between the UAE-Saudi axis and Turkey.
The UAE-Saudi axis seem to be adept at creating enemies for themselves. They're involved in a proxy war in Yemen, prospects of a conflagration against Iran in the Gulf, and a major crisis with Qatar. If this escalates, they'll also be indirectly fighting Turkey.
Arab dictators are a crisis factory.
